Parent Engagement = Student Achievement
The Family and Community Engagement Office, Department of Parent Engagement and Training provides training, information and technical assistance to assist all SCUSD schools in the creation of effective school-family partnerships. The FACE Office supports families and schools in building capacity for achievement focused family engagement through the following programs:
District-wide parent involvement awareness campaigns
Parent leadership development programs and conferences
Workshops for parents on numerous topics including the Parents As
Partners in Schools series
A District Parent Resource Center and assistance in the
development of school-site Parent Resource Centers
Professional development workshops for school administrators and
staff
Volunteer procedures and trainings
Parent Information Exchange (PIE) and partner networking and
development opportunities
The FACE Office also coordinates the District Advisory Council and provides training and support to the District’s School Site Councils.
