We believe that learning should be fun and that an elementary
school should pave the way for a lifetime of learning. It

Pacific Elementary families and staff would like to say Thank you

many of our families. We appreciate your generosity and

providing gifts and food for the families of Pacific Elementary
School. Your generosity is providing a very happy holiday to many
Pacific families.
Nora Castro, with the SCUSD Family Partnership Department has
been facilitating a Parent Leadership Pathway Series for the
parents at Pacific Elementary. Congratulations to our
graduates!!!
Tootsie, a 3-month-old calf, visited Pacific Elementary School
today to help children learn where milk comes from.
The Dairy Council of California sponsors the Mobile Dairy
Classroom that features Tootsie and a 3-year-old Holstein
cow named Snickers. Several SCUSD schools will be visited as part
of a program to bring the farm to schools.
Students were able to listen and participate in Native American
Story Telling to celebrate Native American Heritage
Month. Thank you to Mr. Martin, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred
for providing this amazing experience for the students of
Pacific Elementary.
To kick off the Thanksgiving Break Pacific Elementary
participated in a Farm to School event. Pacific cafeteria
staff, and SCUSD Nutritional Services in collaboration with the
Food Literacy project hosted a feast for students to enjoy.
One of the highlights was Butternut Squash Soup that students
were encouraged to try, some for the first time ever. It
was an amazing event and a special Thank You to Ms. Bettencourt’s
class for the amazing decorations.
The Sheriff’s Activities League Presents a Turkey Giveaway along
with a basketball skills camp and G-Factor gaming truck for boys
and girls of all ages. See the flyer.
